Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 years as a tight-end in the National Football League. He is considered one of the best tight ends of all time. Alongside being the leader in receiving yards and third in total receptions, Gonzalez was among the NFL tight end who had the highest number of receptions.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst on FOX Sports Studio. Since the start of the 2017 NFL season, Gonzalez has been a fixture on FOX NFL KICKOFF, FOX's hour-long NFL pregame program that precedes FOX NFL SUNDAY, airing every Sunday at 11:15 AM ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez signed a new contract for Atlanta Falcons with a two-year term and $14 million on March 15 2013. The signing was in spite of being aware that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire after the football season of 2013. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012, as did Gonzalez (37 year old) played last season as the NFL's leading receiver.
